Konstantinos Karavidas was born in 1965 in Ioannina. At the age of 8 he won the first prize for his participation in the children's painting competition organized by the magazine "TACHIDROMOS".
Later he systematically engaged in drawing, attending during his student studies, free drawing and painting lessons, in the laboratories of Vogiatzis-Antonopoulou for four years.
He studied for a year at the Athens branch of the German College of Graphic Arts in Plaka, but left to pursue a career in the art of sacred icons.
In 1992 he took part in a group exhibition at the spiritual Center of the Association "PARNASSOS" organized by the Panhellenic Association of Hagiographers, of which he has been a member since 1990.
He also participated in a group exhibition organized by the Pan-Epirus Association in 1977 at the Zappeion Palace, with two works (painting - hagiography). In 2003 he took part in the exhibition "ICON OF ART" which took place at the Cultural Center of the Municipality of Athens "Melina Mercouri", under the auspices of the Holy Synod.
He has painted the icons of the iconostasis of the Holy Church of the Nativity of the Virgin in Schoriades, N. Epirus.
He has collaborated with the hagiographers: Delligiani, Andravidioti, Mourla, Matanana, as well as with the late G. Costopoulos and Monasteries of Mount Athos. He also deals with free painting, engraving as well as the decoration of books, mainly by I. Karavidas, former president of E. E. L., V. Krapsitis as well as on Mount Athos.
