Artist Nikola Sarić - Interview for ORTHODOX ARTS FESTIVAL 2022

Nicola Saric is an exceptional visual artist living in Hannover, Germany. In 2014 he graduated from the Academy of the Serbian Orthodox Church of Art and Conservation in Belgrade.

Nikola positions himself as a viewer of human thought and action in areas such as art and contemporary history, theology and architecture. Current topics range from analysis of the political-religious landscape in the light of cultural and social processes to dealing with the experience of temporal and spatial conditions as well as mental and physical conditions. The focus of his artistic work lies on the threshold from existence to transcendence, in the simultaneity of opposites, the moments of paradox, the moments of recognition and the seconds of transformation.

Solo Exhibitions led him to several European countries and cities the likes of Paris, Düsseldorf, Belgrade and Thessaloniki.

His artworks were purchased by Musée Petite Palais (Paris), Collegium Orientale (Eichstätt) and Gartenkirche St. Marien (Hannover). In 2021 received the Special Prize by Hanns Lilje Stiftung.

For 2023 is preparing solo exhibitions at the Auferstehungskirche in München and at the Museum of the Hildesheim Cathedral.
